Apple’s Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team leads efforts to mitigate fraud, waste and abuse across Apple’s various lines of business. The team has an immediate opening for a talented analyst who is interested in working closely with partner teams; understanding their processes and analytic needs; and developing technical solutions that can drive significant impact that benefits Apple.
Description
As a quantitative business analyst you will apply statistical methods, mathematical modeling, and data analytics to help solve complex business problems, detect fraud & abuse, optimize performance & processes, and support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across finance, operations, engineering, legal, and more to deliver data-driven insights that drive measurable results.
- Support discovery of business problems
- Develop relationships with business partners and serve as technical / analytic point of contact
- Perform data discovery and create proof of concepts
- Perform ad-hoc and reoccurring statistical analyses
- Work with data warehouse architects and software developers to generate and enhance business intelligence solutions for partner teams
- Present results of analyses to business units and senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative / technical field (math, statistics, engineering, information management, computer science, or similar)
Experience with big data systems and tools like SQL, Hive, Spark
Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or similar language
Experience with visualization techniques and software such at matplotlib, Tableau, etc.
Experience applying analytical techniques that provide innovative solutions to real business problems
Preferred Qualifications
Supply chain / operations / manufacturing / engineering / quantitative / financial background
5+ years experience in analytic role providing business intelligence to stakeholders
Ability to tell meaningful stories with data
Excellent verbal / written communication skills
Natural curiosity and a desire for continuous self-improvement and development of new skills
Ability to develop valuable partnerships through strong interpersonal skills
Creatively navigate highly ambiguous requirements to deliver best-in-class analytics
Proficiency working independently and proactively with stakeholders to drive progress and empower decision-making
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $118,500 and $197,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
