Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Build new features and fix complex bugs in the Shortcuts app (part of the iOS operating system), using the Objective-C and Swift programming languages and various other industry standard software tools such as the debugger, memory analyzers and Instruments. Collaborate with designers and engineers to iterate on interface prototypes and designs, and ensure that the final implementation meets the desired design specifications. Follow industry standard processes for shipping high quality and maintainable software, for instance writing unit/integration tests and getting code reviews. Develop new features, maintain existing code, fix bugs, and contribute to overall system architecture of the Shortcuts app and frameworks. Collaborate with other team members and cross-functional teams, including engineers, QA, and product managers, to scope out ambitious projects and deliver them on-time with high quality. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,307 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Experience and/or education must include:

• Utilizing Swift and Objective-C to implement features in iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS apps.

• Utilizing developer tools to debug and optimize code running on mobile devices.

• Providing feedback on designs and reviewing app user experiences.

• Presenting product ideas via software prototypes or design mockups.

• Debugging and optimizing apps.

• Using prototypes of new system experiences to discuss designs with HI and partner teams.

• Rewriting UIKit code to SwiftUI and vice-versa without losing functionality
