Summary
The iPhone Division is seeking a hard-working Power Management engineer. This is an individual contributor role working in a top notch engineering team developing the next iPhone products with responsibilities for the design, implementation and integration of the Power Management subsystems (main PMIC, subsystem PMIC, camera flash driver, laser driver and compliance IC, discrete power supplies, etc.). At different development stages, this person will work closely with Apple internal multi functional teams, Contract Manufacturer teams, and IC vendor teams.
The applicant should be familiar with the design of portable low-power products, preferably with experience in a consumer electronics environment dealing with high-volume and high-quality products.
Description
Plan system/subsystem power and IO trees
Datasheet drafting and reviews
IC design review and bug tracking
IP development, schematic and layout reviews
Prototype bring up and debugging
Production test support and system bug tracking
Functional and parameter bench verification including automation scripting
Signal characterization
Some manufacturing support
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of industry experience
Must have great EE fundamentals
Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one of more of the following areas is important: switching mode power supply, linear power supply, PMIC, system power architecture, charger, battery gas gauge, BMU, and camera flash drivers
Experience in prototyping circuits and products in the lab
Masters or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
