Description

APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Provide operational support of multiple cloud-based applications with an emphasis on deployment, security, scalability and reliability running on AWS and Apple infrastructure. Engage various software development teams to collaborate and build services from the ground up – Expertise in networking with an emphasis on security. Build systems both on premise (data center) and on public cloud (AWS, GCO or Azure welcome).Responsible for system bring up, deployment, reliability, security and service scalability. Ability to manage AWS large-scale application deployment and service management through Terraform, Argo, or similar. Expert knowledge of Linux, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, along with operations and monitoring. Expertise in networking with an emphasis on security. Working knowledge of deploying microservices and working experience on strategies to support large scale. Have deployed and operated schedulers such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS or EKS. Ability to write code in one of many high level languages (Python preferred)Vast experience using Linux with knowledge of kernel/system tuning. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 6 months of experience with each of the following skills required:

  • Using REST API to ensure that data and services are available internally and externally via the internet.

  • Using Continuous Integration and deployment(CI/CD) pipelines to ensure that changes are incorporated into shipping software and deployed correctly.

  • Debugging software using an interactive debugger, including Xcode/IntelliJ, to triage and reproduction of client/server issues.

  • Translating design requirements into functional specifications.

  • Using Java programming languages to implement scalable stateful web services and client-side business logic.

  • Experience in data visualization, including formatting analytics data, and experience presenting data to senior engineers.

  • Experience in software integration testing, and software end-to-end testing.

  • Experience using data analytics tool Data Dog and App Dynamics.

  • Experience with scripting languages and tools: Shell, Git, Jira, and Object oriented programming.
