American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Corporate Payments Solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business. Within GCS, the Commercial Lending team is focused on empowering businesses to say yes to more opportunity with a suite of products aimed at meeting customers’ cash flow management needs. Businesses require working capital to fund their operations, which Amex is increasingly providing through its Charge Cards with embedded Pay Over Time, Proprietary and Co-branded Credit Cards, and Business Line of Credit. Central to all of these products’ success, is a customer’s capacity to make purchases and borrow with interest.
The GCS Product Capacity Strategy team will take a customer-led approach to develop solutions to enable spend and lend capacity for our small business products, and the customer experiences they share with corporate card limits. Within this team, the Spend Capacity team will specifically focus on defining and delivering strategies to give customers more clarity and informed confidence around spend capacity, as well as introduce new capabilities to profitably unlock incremental spend capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Shape spend capacity vision and strategy to enable business-sized spend capacity on all SBS cards, including defining segments / profit pools representing biggest opportunities
Lead product and program management for GCS spend capacity strategies – encompassing pattern-based authorizations frameworks (NPSL and EBP), assigned spend limits and other enablement strategies (Auto-Pay, Check Spending Power, etc)
Partner closely with Credit Risk and GCS distribution teams (Marketing/SME) to define revenue and efficiency targets of spend enablement strategies, backed by an evolving pipeline of prioritized tactics
Lead go-to-market and channel enablement for Small Business capacity strategies, coordinating closely with parallel workstreams within Corporate Product Management
Design new digital spend experiences, journeys and positioning that give customers informed confidence on spend capacity and available tools alongside lend solutions; collaborate across Card Product Management teams (SBS, Consumer, Corporate) to build journeys for scale
Track revenue and efficiency performance of spend tactics to inform strategy pivots that unlock efficient billings growth
Define the roadmap for new investments associated with spend capacity and journeys, coordinating and aligning priorities across key GCS and enterprise stakeholders (Consumer, Corporate, CFR, Marketing, etc)
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to manage a set of product features, including establishing strategic role, informing Risk and Marketing strategies, measuring usage and performance, and recommending enhancements to better meet customer needs
Experience designing and launching digital card journeys leverageable across Enterprise card experiences
Command of digital engagement metrics, and demonstrated proactive solutioning to enhance journeys
A customer-first mindset with knowledge of small business customer needs
Financial acumen and P&L management skills, with ability to innovate and drive results in a complex, matrixed environment
A collaborative leader with strong cross-functional leadership and influence management skills across the enterprise with a diverse set of partners
Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and exceptional executive presence and comfort in front of audiences of all levels
Bachelor's degree
NY-based position (hybrid)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Digital Product Management and Design roles
Understanding of the economics of GCS Card Products and supporting spend exposure management functions (authorizations, underwriting, authorizations)

Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
