Job Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Director – Inventory Analytics, Reporting & Systems provides financial leadership and expertise around processes and policies governing inventory, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and drives automation and improvements in inventory consolidation and reporting. This position reports under Operations Supply Chain Finance, and partners closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Commercial organizations.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the monthly consolidation of AbbVie inventory and is responsible for presenting to Senior Management the reports and analyses related to the month-end close, including assessment of overall balance, analysis of deferred margin in relation to inventory on hand, impact of exchange, etc.
Leads the global inventory forecast cycles (Plan, Update, LRP) and pursues process enhancements by leveraging technology in order to advance business objectives.
Drives inventory governance through adherence to global policy, standardization of inventory processes, automation and establishing key partnerships and connectivity to other key functions.
Drives improvements in the inventory function, such as global standardization of exposure reserves, simplification of SRV process, enhancements to improve data integrity, building robust and agile reporting, and simplifying month-end close processes in order to meet close acceleration requirements.
Supports business partners globally by providing actionable insight on inventory holdings, demand coverage, inventory at risk, impact of product phase-outs / divestitures, assessment on pre-launch builds, etc.
Drives automation in the inventory function by advancing technologies and functionality enhancements in Power BI tool, such as future projections, general ledger automation, help drive implementation of tool for identification of “at risk” inventory, and global roll-out of material destruction order tool, etc.
Responsible for preparing the presentation decks intended for management reporting, which include various analyses on inventory composition, by brand, by production stage and by location, changes in exposure reserves, and changes in pre-launch builds for pipeline products.
Acts as a role model in the Global Inventory Team by demonstrating vision, enabling change and promoting teamwork and communication. Help the team reach their career potential through coaching, constructive feedback, goal setting, career development plans, delegation of responsibility and establishing accountability to drive results.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or Master’s degree in finance or Accounting highly desirable, CPA or equivalent preferred.
10+ years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience, preferably across a range of Finance functions.
Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
Superior communication skills: ability to summarize complex financial analyses in a clear & concise manner.
Ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
Ability to work well in a team environment, develop staffs and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
Highly proficient working with MS Office tools, SAP and particularly with PowerBI.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.?
