Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things.
The Foresight Strategist will play a key role in shaping Apple Store Online’s long-term evolution by connecting emerging technologies and shifting consumer behaviors to next-gen shopping experiences and helping the organization anticipate how shopping experiences are likely to evolve across platforms and markets.
This role will lead foresight and scenario planning efforts, translating signals of change into actionable strategies, experience roadmaps, and executive-ready narratives. The work will inform global priorities and help ensure Apple Store Online continues to trailblaze as new technologies, modalities, and ecosystems emerge.
Description
As Apple Store Online looks ahead to the next era of digital commerce, you will lead strategic foresight and emerging technology analysis focused on how new platforms, interfaces, and interaction models will shape future shopping experiences. From identifying early signals across technology, culture, and consumer behavior to building future scenarios and experience roadmaps, you will play an integral role in guiding long-term direction and informing decisions across the full planning lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years in strategic foresight, emerging technology, or innovation strategy within retail, technology, or consultancy environments
Expertise in scenario planning, technology roadmapping, and trend analysis
Familiarity with next-generation technologies such as generative AI, agentic commerce, digital twins, and spatial computing
Proven ability to translate complex signals and trends into clear strategic implications and executive-level recommendations
Systems thinker with an interdisciplinary approach, bridging business strategy, human insight, and technology futures
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning foresight into influence
Preferred Qualifications

MBA or equivalent advanced degree in technology, strategy, or innovation
