The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. Within GABM, the Global Commercial Services Events & Experiences team is responsible for driving B2B in-person and virtual experiences covering tradeshows/conferences, bespoke proprietary experiences, client entertainment, virtual forums, go-to-market initiatives and more; all designed to deepen relationships with customers and prospects across the globe.

The Analyst, US Proprietary Events & Experiences will lead execution and support on all American Express US B2B flagship proprietary experiences which include but are not limited to; C-Level engagement strategies, marquee customer events, product-driven experiences (e.g. product launches/refreshes, etc.), and support broader go-to-market initiatives. They will help come up with creative concepts, oversee creative development, ensure marketing compliance, and work in conjunction with internal/external partners to deliver on business objectives.

The ideal candidate would have experience supporting a wide range of high-profile initiatives, while collaborating efficiently with key partners across multiple teams and has a passion for this space!

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, strategic development, and execution of all B2B proprietary experiences. Provide Project Management where necessary

  • Support E2E campaign execution across channels (live events, email, social, content, etc.), overseeing the creative submission process – ensuring we are compliant

  • Oversee the creation and management of project timelines, event calendars, creative deliverables, event recaps and more

  • Be responsible for reporting/tracking, gathering insights and evaluating initiatives and apply findings to future programs/recommendations

  • Collaborate with agency partners to ensure program is delivering on brief

  • Support team budget management, including securing contracts with vendors and working with internal partners and systems for invoice payment and tracking

  • Build strong working relationships across the team, as well as with business partner groups to ensure good collaboration, efficient problem solving and creative solutioning for delivering on results. Cross-functional teams could include marketing, sales, PR, product, compliance, and Executive Offices

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of marketing, customer facing, and event management experience

  • Strong professional presence and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate, influence, and be a standout colleague

  • Highly motivated with the proven ability to react and adapt in real time to balance multiple priorities while remaining flexible and calm

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise judgement and prioritization

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with the highest levels of integrity

  • Adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • Exceptional project management skills and great attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Creative individual with a passion for live events

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Reporting, data analysis, deck building skills

Qualifications

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
