Summary
Come and join a global team of dedicated Cellular Technologies Project Managers who use our skills and expertise every single day to ensure Apple's wireless test facilities are at the forefront of new innovations. We are looking for a creative, practical and collaborative person with right skillset and experience to manage cellular coverage and test lab projects. At a high level your role includes management of multiple concurrent cellular projects and the set up of test equipment labs for engineering teams. You will be an important member of a team solving technical challenges of Apple’s test labs and campus cellular coverage.
Description
Cellular Technologies Project Managers are responsible for the day to day operations of cellular DAS and lab projects globally.
Managing multiple concurrent projects requires a comfort level communicating clearly with test engineers, Facilities PMs, electricians, network planners and external vendors for design, implementation and maintenance of labs and cellular DAS. The position will require troubleshooting of RF distribution, fiber optics, chamber test set ups, IP networking and maintenance management of multiple shield rooms (HVAC, Electrical, grounding and pneumatic systems). This position requires the applicant to be very comfortable working across multiple disciplines.
Test labs are a dynamic environment and Project Managers are responsible for the design and build of new labs as well as handling engineering change requests in existing labs and implementing custom solutions to meet the needs of multiple end user teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or five years of experience with cell sites and cellular test lab environments.
Extensive experience with cellular DAS, spectrum analysis and RF signal modulation.
Knowledge and experience with cellular equipment installations.
Experience in lab environments with knowledge of RF shielding enclosures and rooms.
Experience managing construction and installation projects.
Familiarity with cellular RAN equipment and understanding of cellular network architecture.
Proven project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Adept at using creative and innovative thinking to solve problems.
Proven ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively within a team.
Strong logical troubleshooting skills-- Ability to troubleshoot RF system issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
