The IS&T Retail Engineering organization has the goal of providing an intuitive, seamless and inspiring customer shopping experience. Apple Online Store (AOS) is one of the world’s largest online retailer, serving millions of customers around the globe.
We are looking for a self-motivated Engineering Project Manager who has several years of experience in a complex, fast-moving electronic commerce or software development environment and has a proven track record of delivering excellent results.
Description
We're seeking a passionate project management expert to own the entire lifecycle of large-scale projects and feature areas. You'll be in the driver's seat, from business requirements analysis and technical design discussions to testing and partner collaboration. This isn't about checking tasks off a list – it's about your ability to lead and deliver on every aspect of the project.
Your Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the success of your projects, steering them from concept to launch with laser focus on execution.
Confidently navigate multifaceted environments, building strong relationships and smoothly resolving conflicts.
Work seamlessly with engineers, product owners, and strategic partners, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
Efficiently manage resources, monitor timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Maintain a relentless focus on execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery while paying meticulous attention to detail.
Lead and manage end-to-end DevOps and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, scope, and timelines.
Work closely with infrastructure architects, DevOps engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering project or program management
2+ years on hands-on experience in engineering role
Experience in software development life cycle methodologies
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering project or program management
Proven ability to work with diverse audience through clear, compelling written and verbal communication.
Successful track record of managing budgets and forecasting resource needs.
Highly effective team player who can bring engineers, product managers, and designers together to deliver results.
Industry recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification.
Proven track record of thriving in fast paced dev environment with constant change.
Demonstrate technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate the business and technical implications of the decisions made by project team.
Strong facilitation and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and lead project teams to meet all project deadlines with minimal supervision.
