Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Test new and existing features on pre-release software and hardware to find problems before they impact users. Triage difficult problems and driving them to resolution. Work with client, server, and partner engineering teams to identify software requirements and develop test plans. Define test coverage, create and maintain test cases, report test results, and evaluate readiness to ship. Develop testing tools and automation. Review device and server logs for issues. Use Charles Proxy to modify and monitor API request and responses during testing. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and other QA-related artifacts. Provide training and mentorship to other team members or stakeholders on quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and best practices. 40 hours/week.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Visual Communications Design, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
1.5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Debugging software using an interactive debugger, including Xcode, to triage and reproduce client/server issues.
Utilize Swift and SwiftUI to build iOS and MacOS applications.
Utilize GitHub for source code management.
Experience in smoke testing, regression testing, extended tests, and integration testing.
Utilize Charles Proxy to modify and debug API calls from a server to a device.
Utilize bug tracking software to file detailed technical bug reports to improve software quality.
Experience using data analytics tools.
