DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Project Manager – Procurement to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Troy, MI location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:    

  • Foundational Project Management Knowledge: Understand basic project management principles, tools, and terminology to support planning, execution, and tracking.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Keep detailed records, maintain project documentation, and manage timelines and deliverables efficiently.

  • Effective Communication: Clearly share project updates, risks, and needs with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Identify issues early, collaborate with others to resolve them, and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Analytical Thinking: Support research and data analysis to inform decisions, track budgets, and assess project performance.

  • Risk Awareness: Use quality tools to identify and help manage project risks, contributing to more predictable outcomes.

  • Collaboration and Team Learning: Share insights and lessons learned with other teams and draw from past experiences to improve project success.

  • Adaptability and Initiative: Be proactive in supporting project needs, adjusting to changes, and stepping in where needed to keep things moving.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Minimal level of relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Minimum 3-years’ experience in project coordination/management.

  • Hybrid position with the expectation of 3 days in the Troy office and 2 working from home.

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

  • Manage several cost reduction initiatives at existing or new suppliers to meet business objectives.

  • Concisely communicates to the project team all project deliverables, immediate activities they must support, and why they must support them.

  • Eagerly pursues execution excellence utilizing standardized project management tools and compliance to Purchasing processes and policies.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
