Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Work with multiple teams across the organization to understand, design and develop Siri software and architecture. Design and develop high quality workflows that provide intelligent user assistance. Develop features for Siri in collaboration with other teams in the Siri/AIML organization and several teams across the company - Audio media technologies, CoreOS, Platform architecture. Work with Design and Conversational Interaction teams to define, implement and extend natural interactions with Siri assistant; to develop and ship features aligned with SII team’s mission. Define and extend Siri's capabilities through collaboration with SII teams to ensure that keyword detection and speech recognition capabilities are aligned with the audio stack, route designed for Siri. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements, understand dependencies, define an architecture, and implement solutions to well-defined projects to ensure that architecture designs and implementations can co-exist and are well optimized. Define, instrument, and monitor important metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for functionalities that are worked on to allow measurement, monitoring and iterative improvement of the key accuracy and performance metrics of the features that were developed/shipped. Share ownership of testability and quality metrics of the features worked on with Quality Engineer teams to ensure high quality and performant software features are shipped. Domestic travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,259 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Security Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• Education and/or experience with each of the following skills is required:

• Utilizing Java for Siri logging schema development and support for Invocation features

• Utilizing Python for Siri invocation metric analysis, tracking and dashboard development for iterative improvement of Siri features’ accuracy and performance.

• Utilizing Object-oriented Programming for Siri software development and debugging for Siri features.

• Utilizing Javascript automation for triaging scripts and tools.

• Utilizing C for Software development and debugging for Siri software on hardware platforms.

• Utilizing Machine Learning Research to implement and investigate the execution of Machine Learning and Deep Learning models used for Siri.

• Utilizing Objective C for software development and debugging of Siri features.
