Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for software design focusing on localization and internationalization by assessing the current CarPlay experience from the perspective of the needs and considerations for different languages and for different cultural groups. Advises on ideal experiences for international audiences. Adapts current CarPlay experiences to different regions and their requirement and introduces new and geo-specific interaction models. Defines and evolves Apple’s Design Systems and Language by reviewing new experiences in different languages across multiple Apple operating systems. Identifies and incorporates design patterns from iOS, macOS and tvOS to benefit CarPlay. Collaborates with UI Frameworks teams to ensure advancements in international text display and input methods are functioning in CarPlay with a high level of quality. Designs multilingual settings for CarPlay. Works with government and regulatory authorities and conducts research region-specific requirements and regulations relevant to the auto industry. Works through approval processes with different authorities and automakers and challenges conventions where and when able. Performs cross-functional collaboration by collaborating with Maps design team on region-specific features ad production design team on language-specific typographic specs. Collaborates with other design teams within and outside of Apple to understand region-specific restrictions or requirements and software engineering on implementation and quality. Implements quality assurance (QA) for software features by performing quality assurance inspections and procedures. Works through and resolves development issues with engineering. Ensures final product passes all regulatory requirements. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Design, Software Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Designing new products and user interactions using Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or Keynote.
Executing and implementing design strategies for engaging in products using experience in the automotive industry and user patterns and trends for technologies across numerous global markets.
Performing and service design, graphic design, typography, and motion leveraging tools including Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop or Keynote.
Communicating expertise with a diverse range of subject matter in cultures with the ability to analyze user research for different markets to leverage insights for emergent behaviors in markets across the globe.
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including Design, Engineering, Business, and R&D to ideate, iterate and refine new product designs, leveraging tools including Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop or Keynote.
Assuring that the quality of design and engineering implementation of software meets quality standards by live-on testing, research and documenting defects with cross-functional leads.
