Business Unit/Role Specific Information
Amex Digital Labs (ADL): ADL team drives innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing products and platforms that are essential to our customers’ digital lives. We are a fast-paced global team that applies new and emerging technologies to develop digital payment and financial services products, AI-powered customer service solutions, and engaging membership experiences. We value creativity, customer centricity, and experimentation and often collaborate with top technology companies and strategic partners to bring the next generation of products to market.
- Product Enablement: This team focuses on balancing risk mitigation techniques, strong controls and thoughtful product build with our innovation agenda.
How will you make an impact in this role?
We are looking for an Undergraduate-level intern to support the Governance team on critical and innovative projects as a Product Enablement Associate Intern. The successful candidate will be responsible for a project contributing to Product Governance, Process Strategy and/or Product Operations for new and existing digital products.
This person will join our team of problem solvers and strategic project managers, supporting launch of new products, features /functionality or experiences and/or process improvement to enable speed to market, while gaining invaluable experience and insight into Digital Innovation at Amex.
The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mentality – whether that is building an app, side-hustle, or supporting your own business.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
Bachelor’s degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding program management skills to lead end-to-end partnerships across key verticals – product development, engineering & technology, marketing, customer service, legal, compliance, information security, etc.
Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
A self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, constantly evolving or ambiguous environment.
Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking to solve obstacles and develop winning solutions or recommendations.
Curiosity about consumer behavior and digital trends across categories.
Desire to work on dynamic, innovative and evolving initiatives in the digital, mobile and alternatives payments space.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $24.05 to $63.00 hourly sign-on bonus
