The Siri AI Quality Engineering team is seeking a test triage and automation to support the triage of large scale testing activities to help best enable the qualification of Siri and exceed our customer's expectations. Think beyond what features are supposed to do and creatively seek ways to measure qualitative experiences. You will ultimately be part of a collaborative team that's responsible for understanding how well our products work, advocating for critical changes, and representing how they'll be experienced by our customers. We are a nimble, fast-paced team that relies heavily on a tight relationship between engineering, program management, and quality engineering. Description

In this role, you will be responsible for shipping world-class user experiences and act as the voice of our end-users. As a test triage and automation engineer, you will help with actively triaging a wide gamut of tests for Siri, drill into the details of system logging to attribute failures, and engage deeply with cross-functional partners to follow through on results. This role requires technical curiosity, creativity, and effective communication skills. A proactive demeanour and willingness to take initiative to follow through on issues as well as identify opportunities for process improvements is critical. You will be responsible for driving all of the quality work you're doing and also be a strong advocate for quality in the overall software development process. This position requires a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience triaging and diagnosing software issues

  • Ability to proactively triage, investigate, and debug difficult technical and UX problems independently as well as collaboratively

  • Capacity to drive test triage products, methodologies, and processes

  • Strong programming skills with Python and Shell scripting languages

  • Proficiency with software revision control (e.g. Git) and CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins)

  • Highly organized with strong planning skills to estimate, update, and communicate progress

  • BA/BS in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent experience in related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming experience with Swift, Objective-C, and/or C/C++ Analytical and reporting experience with test and bug triage results helping to drive internal or product decisions

  • Knowledge of the Apple development and build ecosystem using Xcode

  • Experience with or knowledge of Machine Learned (ML) systems and associated qualification approaches
