Apple's Enterprise & Education Technologies team is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Workflows team. Our mission is to ensure reliability for critical customer workflows, and we do this by building the foundational tools and infrastructure that engineers across Apple rely on. In this role, you will design, build, and scale the internal systems that simulate core enterprise protocols, create self-service automation that makes testing easy, and integrate key third-party services. Description
You will design, build, and scale our internal test infrastructure, which simulates core enterprise management protocols, and develop our end-to-end automated test suite. Your goal is to make testing easy for engineering teams across Apple, providing them with self-service tools and stable environments to validate their features against realistic managed deployments.
While your primary focus will be on building these foundational tools, you will collaborate across all our team's functions. This includes partnering to replicate complex customer bugs, integrating third-party services, and contributing to the data that informs our overall quality metrics. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about building robust systems and wants to have a broad impact on the quality of Apple's enterprise and education experience!
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, methodologies, and best practices. 
- Advanced programming skills in a language like Swift, Python, Go, or Objective-C. 
- 2 plus years of industry experience building automation frameworks, test infrastructure, or backend services. 
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience building software. 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying and managing Apple devices in enterprise or education environments. 
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and tools (Terraform, Ansible). 
- Familiarity with common identity providers (Entra, Okta) and device management solutions. 
- Background in identity management (single sign-on, federation) or cybersecurity. 
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
