DESCRIPTION

Utilize advanced knowledge of informational systems principles and practices to communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk and drive relentless improvement. Utilize knowledge of engineering principles and practices to lead and coach up to two Agile Release Trains (ART), facilitate ART events and processes, and assist the teams in delivering value. Manage and optimize the flow of value though overseeing a release train (a grouping of Agile teams). Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train, using various tools such as the Program and Solution Kanbans and Agile Scrum. Advocate for and lead others in the concepts of Agile Manifesto and Lean thinking, in support of adopting and applying the 10 SAFe principles and SAFe practices. Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevOps and Release on Demand competency, help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle, and understand and operate within Lean Budgets. Utilize problem solving tools including Six Sigma, lean methodologies and value stream mapping to build quality systems and eliminate waste. Embrace a holistic approach to analysis with a focus on the way that a system’s constituent parts interrelate and how systems work overtime and within the context of larger systems, in order to ensure the economic success of the solution. Plan and manage the release of capabilities, features or products using inputs from the prioritized roadmap, planning, available resources and skills to communicate expected availability and releases of capability. Manage Project Issue and Risk Management to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended IT tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability or impact of negative events. Ensure adherence to Guardrails, and foster communities of practice and the use of engineering and built-in quality practices. Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices, mindsets and collaboration. Drive relentless improvement through Inspect and Adapt workshops, assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train, and help them improve. Develop strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices. Establish and maintain the balance of scope, schedule and resources for projects using experience with project management. Implement robust monitoring, auditing, and quality assurance processes to maintain compliance and uphold service quality standards using Process knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Positions require a Master’s degree in Computer, Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, IT Project Manager or related. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, IT Project Manager or related. Experience to include: Agile Manifesto and Lean thinking; Lean Agile SAFe principles and practices; Problem solving tools including Six Sigma, lean methodologies and value stream mapping; DevOps and Release on Demand; Release Planning Management; Business Relationship Management practices; Project Issue and Risk Management; Agile project management; Process knowledge.
