Summary

The Device Management Quality Engineering team is looking for a passionate and proactive Software Engineer in Test to join our Device Management team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing automated tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our device management products. You will join a hands-on development team that cultivates creativity and innovation to deliver engineering excellence.

Description

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work in a cross-functional team responsible for projects like Classroom, Apple Configurator, and the Remote Management framework. You will also work closely with software engineers, project managers, and other quality teams across Apple. You will help ensure Apple delivers the next generation of its operating systems with the highest quality. This role requires a blend of manual and automated testing, demanding an ability to focus on large-scale projects while also meticulously examining the smallest UI details.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience writing and triaging automated software tests (e.g., unit, regression, functional, and stress tests)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing code in Python, Objective-C, or Swift to test APIs, SDKs, and frameworks

  • Experience with XCTest and Xcode

  • Experience developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reports

  • Experience driving the development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure

  • Meticulous, analytical, and creative problem-solver with a passion for quality processes

  • Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions

  • Ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action
