Apple’s Sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team, is in many ways, the face of Apple to our largest customers.
In this position, you will partner closely with the sales team to provide pre-sales technical consulting and support to grow Apple’s K-12 Education business in an assigned territory. You will leverage your deep technical acumen and relationship building skills to guide customers on their journey to choose the right technical architecture to achieve their goals. Through your passion for technology and capacity to connect, you will collaborate with the sales team to increase the adoption of Apple products, all with a goal of transforming the way people work, teach, and learn.
This position requires up to 60% domestic travel.
Description
In this role, you will:
- Work collaboratively across Apple, with our customers, partners, and solutions providers to become the trusted advisor on Apple hardware, software and service solutions
- Deeply understand customers’ businesses and technical ambitions, help remove technical barriers and friction points, and enhance customer readiness for Apple’s platform
- Quickly grasp technical concepts, processes, details, and skills, and effectively engage in architectural and technical discussions with a wide variety of audiences
- Act as both a technical generalist covering all of Apple's products relevant to their customers' needs and a specialist in one or more technical verticals
- Provide technical leadership to the sales team and gain credibility, deepen relationships, and increase influence with executive leadership in your accounts
- Build and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and seminars to educate and inspire others
- Strategically leverage Apple and third party subject matter expertise to shorten the sales cycle
- Provide pre-sales technical support for new, large business opportunities — sharing status and progressing them through to closure
- Be the voice of our customers and partners to communicate use cases, new standard methodologies, successes, and key takeaways
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experienceBackground in pre-sales technical, engineering, and/or similar function selling complex technical solutions
Deep experience in consultative sales, including: qualifying, overcoming objections and obstacles, and closing business
Hands-on knowledge of multiple operating systems including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows
Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
Passion for continuous improvement with the curiosity to uncover gaps, resilience to remove barriers to entry, and drive to optimize processes and create solutions
Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate partner organizational structures, and lead complex negotiations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Background in a customer facing role in IT technology overseeing hardware, software, and services is highly preferred
Familiarity with K-12 Education market is a plus
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure and clarity where none exists
Ability to build, maintain, and strengthen high-level customer relationships to accelerate business growth
