Weekly Hours: 40

Role Number: 200652761-0670

Summary

The people here at Apple don't just create products — they create the kind of wonder that's
revolutionized entire industries. It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires
the innovation that runs through everything we do.

Apple Creator Studio brings studio-level tools to Mac, iPad, and iPhone for millions of creators
worldwide. We’re looking for a Senior Content Curator to define and evolve the visual and
editorial future of visual content within Creator Studio across global storefronts.

This role is for a curator with exceptional taste and strong strategic instinct—someone who can
anticipate shifts in the visual landscape before they fully emerge, translate cultural and product
signals into a clear editorial point of view, and build an exceptional body of photo and video
content that creators will use to keep their own work on the cutting edge.

Description

The Senior Content Curator will establish visual direction, shape editorial vision, and develop
asset strategy. You’ll operate at the intersection of creative leadership and scalable systems:
curating work that’s culturally fluent and globally resonant while building the frameworks
(metadata, taxonomy, rights, operational workflows, multi-year roadmaps) that let timely,
relevant, and high-quality content move quickly and consistently.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, Marketing, Strategy, and Data Science to make
this library of content both inspiring and e?ective—using performance signals to refine
programming, identify gaps, and stay ahead of emerging trends in creator culture, media
formats, and generative workflows.

Visual Direction & Trend Foresight
• Establish a clear, premium visual and editorial point of view for visual library curation across
global storefronts.
• Anticipate emerging aesthetics, formats, and creator behaviors by synthesizing cultural
signals, platform shifts, and technology changes—then translate those insights into content
programming and creative direction.
• Build forward-looking content strategies that evolve with the market while remaining distinctly
Apple in craft and clarity.

Curation & Content Programming at Scale
• Curate and shape high-quality photo, video, and multimedia that deliver a cohesive, culturally
relevant, and inspiring creator experience.
• Evaluate content at scale with a high bar for taste, practicality, originality, inclusivity, and
technical execution—thriving in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Identify, organize, and curate assets into seasonal collections informed by performance
metrics, cultural insights, and product priorities.
• Develop repeatable programming concepts and “signature” collection approaches that build
identity and momentum for our content libraries, and amplify feature and content launches
across the app ecosystem.

Data-informed Creative Strategy
• Partner with Data Science and Strategy to interpret performance and creator engagement
signals, continuously refine curation to address gaps, emerging trends, and business
priorities.
• Define success metrics for visual content beyond clicks—optimizing for creator activation,
learning, and sustained engagement.
Asset Strategy, Systems & Operational rigor
• Drive scalable asset strategy across sourcing, organization, lifecycle planning, and
governance—balancing creative ambition with operational feasibility.
• Lead implementation and evolution of DAM, metadata, taxonomy, and categorization
standards to ensure assets are discoverable, reusable, and future-ready.
• Establish and uphold quality rubrics, review workflows, and editorial calendars that enable
consistency globally without compromising cultural relevance in critical markets worldwide.

Cross-functional Leadership & Team Development
• Collaborate deeply with Product, Design, Marketing, and Legal/Business A?airs to align
creative direction with brand integrity, rights, and platform needs.
• Mentor and guide other curators to align their work with your creative vision, brand
consistency, and premium standards—raising the bar for craft and decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with external partners (stock houses, boutique agencies,
independent creators) and surface new talent and sources early.

Generative Media & Emerging Workflows
• Use generative AI tools and workflows to create, curate, prompt, evaluate, and refine assets
that meet Apple’s visual standards and brand guidelines.
• Stay current on state-of-the-art generative apps and tools, aesthetics, and ethics; help define
best practices for responsible, high-quality use in a scaled content environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of directly relevant experience in photo, video, or multimedia within creatively driven environments (consumer technology, publishing, streaming/media, or creative agencies serving these industries).

  • Strong editorial judgment and demonstrated ability to set vision—not only select assets—across a large brand or app ecosystem.

  • A genuine passion for content creation and visual storytelling, with the ability to translate ideas into scalable content systems.

  • Proficiency in emerging generative AI image tools and workflows, including prompting and evaluation, with the ability to maintain brand integrity and quality.

  • Experience creating, managing, and organizing large-scale media libraries or digital content platforms.

  • Familiarity with a wide range of content sources (enterprise stock to boutique agencies to individual contributors, including AI-driven stock houses) with a track record of sourcing standout work.

  • A proven understanding of image and video rights, licensing, contract negotiation, and clearance processes.

  • Clear, e?ective communicator with experience aligning cross-functional partners and stakeholders.

  • Highly collaborative; builds trust quickly and values strong relationships.

  • Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Procreate, and other similar software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with CMS and automation tools.

  • Knowledge of metadata standards, cataloging, and taxonomy practices to optimize discoverability and reuse.

  • Proficiency in using creative apps within the Apple Creator Studio.
