Apple’s Wireless Systems and Compliance Engineering team is looking for an RF/Wireless Lab Technician to perform RF regulatory automated tests and Lab management activities (Anechoic Chamber maintenance, Chamber automated tests, Comb Gen Correlation tests, HW Unit management, etc.). We’re looking for someone that can be flexible, receptive to ideas from others, team oriented, and willing to work with Engineers and leads for continuing to support Apple projects.

Description

  • Hands-on experience in prototype work and RF verification specifically with OTA and conducted testing.

  • Hands-on experience with electronic product assembly.

  • Hands-on and fluent with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power supply, digital multimeter, etc.

  • Conduct PCB reworks including Soldering & HW rework.

  • Own annual Inventory / audit of Labs.

  • Assist Engineering team with overall upkeep and support of engineering lab spaces.

  • Lead & drive Chamber maintenance, equipment calibration, etc.

  • Owner for maintaining inventory & ordering of Lab supplies: Cables, switches, etc.

  • Great computer skills: Mac & PC.

  • Needs to be able to work independently but able to take direction from multiple sources (Technical Managers and Engineers).

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of lab management experience (Lab inventory/audit, setup assembly, lab maintenance, etc.).

  • Solder and rework on PCB level with SMT components (0201, QFNs, BGAs, CSPs, etc.).

  • Able to balance multiple tasks at once.

  • Good interpersonal and verbal/written/presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in EE or higher.

  • Experience working on with lab equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Power meters, etc.

  • Experience on bench tests and automated tests.

  • Experience in prototype work and functional verification.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $32.76 and $58.92/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
