Description:

Cognoa is seeking a self-motivated, Junior DevOps Engineer to help define infrastructure and deployment requirements. Reporting to our Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be working closely with our engineering team to build, automate, and support our application infrastructure and deployment processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Design and develop automated code delivery pipelines
• Assist in the  deployment of new features and products
• Troubleshoot system outages and application issues
• Identify and create processes to automate common tasks
• Stay current on DevOps trends, experiment with and learn new CI/CD technologies
• Serve as the backup release manager
• Assist in managing and extending current AWS infrastructure with focus on Security and Stability

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• BS in CS or another technical degree preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience with AWS (Certification a plus but not required).

Skills/Experience:

• Experience with Docker
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Experience with AWS codepipeline is a plus)
• Proficient with Linux (Preferably Debian)
• Great troubleshooting skills and ability to identify the root cause of problems
• Proficient in a scripting language. Python, Ruby, or Bash would be a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with Git

• Prolonged periods of working on a computer.
