Job Description

Grounds Maintenance Laborers perform tasks which require physical abilities and effort involving landscaping, snow and ice removal, mowing, tree and shrub shaping, road repair, and other duties as assigned.This position is located in Warren, MI.
Summary:
The following tasks are typical of this occupation:

Unloads trucks and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks; stacks materials for storage or binning.

Collects refuse and salvageable materials; digs, fills and tamps earth excavations; levels ground using a pick, shovel, tamper, and rake.

Shovels concrete and snow; cleans culverts and ditches; spreads sand and salt on icy roads and walkways; picks up leaves and trash.

Snow plow operation

Able to operate various types of landscaping equipment and machinery.

Able to operates plow trucks and other utility vehicles (preferred)

Other duties as assigned.

On-call for after-hours emergency calls.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must have six (6) months recent / relevant laborer experience or demonstrated mechanical ability to perform the assigned duties of the position in a variety of weather conditions.

Valid driver’s license needed and chauffeur license preferred, ability to be an insurable driver by the Company.

Successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check, and motor vehicle report.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation.

Able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
