Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly-motivated Business Planning Manager to join the Worldwide Channel Sales team. The channel sales organization is responsible for managing Apple's commercial relationships with resellers around the world.
You will support the sales planning team in all facets of its work to drive and develop sales actions to support a multi-billion dollar business, including strategic planning, market and sales analytics, identifying standard methodologies, as well as special projects. If you are a strong and practical problem-solver with experience managing a sales operations/programs driven organization, this is a great opportunity for you.
Success in the role requires an ability to work effectively and efficiently across a global sales organization. You will work directly with worldwide and regional sales leaders, finance, operations as well as other key partners.
The successful candidate may not have sales experience on their resume, but must have spent time directly interacting with and supporting the success of a large sales organization.
Description
The duties and responsibilities are very diverse, but include the following:
- Provide perspective on key trends impacting end markets (industry structure, competitive behavior, consumer behavior, ecosystem economics, etc.)
- Define implications of current and potential trends/ events, and recommend action plans
- Craft executive presentations to deliver key insights about the business and the recommended sales actions
- Partner with sales leadership to define long-term, annual, and quarterly sales priorities
- Collaborate with Finance and Sales to optimize demand generation activities
- Work with other cross functional organizations (PM, Marcom) to support product category growth
Minimum Qualifications
Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
Exceptional presentation skills
Strong analytical and business modeling skills
Experience presenting and making recommendations to senior level executives
Ability to manage by influence
Demonstrated proficiency managing complex cross-functional initiatives across a large, preferably global, organization
A flexible work style and approach based on business needs
A solid understanding of the consumer electronics industry (products, technologies, trends)
5-8 years business planning, operations, strategy and/or sales management experience
Preferred Qualifications
MBA highly advantageous.
Experience working in a sales operations or programs-driven organization
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $182,600 and $274,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
