Summary

Do you want to have a significant impact on how work is done at Apple? Radar is used by every major organization across Apple to help teams organize and track their work. As Apple’s primary tool for defining, tracking, and testing issues, Radar has been used for decades across various teams, including hardware and software engineering. It serves as a unified platform for bug tracking, test case management, and product management, facilitating seamless coordination among team members. The Radar Engineering team at Apple seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to drive and deliver powerful new features on Radar.

Description

As the Radar Platform Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a global team distributed across California, Texas, and India. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for a high-traffic, business-critical platform that drives product development, bug tracking, and work management across all of Apple.

In our highly collaborative environment, you will act as the primary bridge between the Radar Platform team and a wide array of partners, including Radar Client Engineering, our users, and business partners.

In addition to leading cross-functional engagement for the team, you will be a technical authority, driving architectural decisions, conducting deep-dive design reviews, and steering the technical roadmap for a complex microservices ecosystem. You will balance the platform's high stability requirements with the rapid delivery of new features and the adoption of new technologies to keep pace with Apple’s growth and evolving needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing software engineering teams.

  • 10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and developing scalable micro-services-based platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop engineers.

  • Experience with project planning and resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building agentic workflow services with MCP integrations.

  • Experience managing distributed or remote teams.

  • Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly presentation skills.
