Role Description:
The Director of Data Incident Reporting & Management will lead a team responsible for executing and enhancing the firm’s enterprise-wide data issue and incident management framework. Reporting to the Vice President, this role will focus on the effective identification, documentation, remediation, and reporting of data-related issues and incidents across the organization. The Director will ensure alignment with policies and enterprise risk standards while fostering cross-functional collaboration and driving operational excellence.
*Key responsibilities include: *
Lead a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the data incident management program, ensuring adherence to established standards, procedures, and SLAs.
Oversee the identification, documentation, and root cause analysis of data incidents across the data lifecycle.
Manage and maintain a detailed taxonomy of data incidents, ensuring appropriate mapping to risk categories and data lifecycle stages.
Monitor the status and resolution of data incidents, ensuring effective remediation actions and timely closure in coordination with accountable stakeholders.
Partner with business unit data offices, risk, compliance, and audit teams to support transparent issue tracking and resolution.
Contribute to the definition and refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and reporting metrics across data management activities.
Support the automation and enhancement of incident reporting through use of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Review and challenge the quality and completeness of corrective action plans for high-risk data incidents.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards to provide leadership with insights into trends, emerging risks, and program health across data management activities.
Collaborate with business partners and across the team to document root cause / impact of KRIs / KPIs.
Coach and develop team members, foster a high-performance culture and ensure professional growth within the team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, risk management, incident management, or a related function, preferably within financial services.
Demonstrated expertise in operationalizing incident management programs or similar risk functions.
Working knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks, including their application to large, complex organizations.
Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or equivalent required.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
Proven experience leading high-performing teams and driving results through collaboration and accountability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex concepts in a manner consumable by a broad stakeholder base, including a senior executive audience.
The ability to bring structure to ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast paced dynamic environment.
Location: US Hybrid; roles to be located in New York, Phoenix, Charlotte, or Sunrise

Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
