Do you want to be a part of Apple Intelligence, and make Siri and related products smarter for our users? The Siri Speech team focuses on voice interactions with users. By understanding and responding to the user in context, with all the nuance of human conversation, we enhance the connection with the user. In addition, we partner with teams across Apple to build exciting natural language features, like Personal Voice and Digital Narration. All of this is empowered by the latest machine learning models. Description
You will be responsible for delivering new natural language capabilities through state-of-the-art Machine Learning techniques. Use your creativity to explore how technology can lead to new user experiences. The role includes learning about new models and figuring out how to productize them to run on all Apple hardware. Design systems to support model inference with overrides and asset downloads. Build cloud-based services and develop client protocols. Analyze performance and optimize in complex multi-process environments.
Minimum Qualifications
MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree, with 8+ years of industry experience
Experienced in iOS application development with Xcode and Swift
Experienced in server-side software development
Strong at the design of APIs and client/server protocols
Familiarity with deploying machine learning models in production environments
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with large language models
Knowledge of Apple frameworks
Experience working in Python, C++ and Unix
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
