We are seeking a Software Engineering QA Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality products to lead our Applications team. The ideal candidate will excel in team leadership, ensuring that features and products meet Apple’s high quality standards and adhere to project timelines.

Description

Build, hire, and mentor highly effective, quality engineers and teams.
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to meet high-quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and implement new tools and methodologies to increase efficiency.
Ship features across all Apple platforms that meet our high standards for quality.
Lead staff in effectively scoping and the prioritizing of testing deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with at least the last 2+ years in a QA leadership role.

  • 5+ years of designing manual and automated test plans, performing software debugging, and exposure to various debugging tools and testing methodologies.

  • 3+ years experience performing software quality assurance of mobile, desktop, virtual platforms, APIs, and backends.

  • Past experience with data analysis and providing visualization.

  • Excellent communication skills for reporting, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate feedback, develop solutions, and make informed decisions.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject area, or the equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience bringing multiple software projects from technical spec to production.

  • Experience with Firebase Remote Config or similar platform.

  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and performance monitoring tools.

  • Experience working with Apple testing tools and platforms, such as xctest & XCUI.

  • Experience working with AI/ML concepts and algorithms, and proficiency in programming languages like Python.

  • Experience with DevOps (CI, CD, automation strategies, etc.).

  • Experience working with Tableau or other data visualization tools.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
