The Digital Workplace Team at American Express is entering into a new phase of technology transformation driven by opportunities to improve Colleague experience, raise productivity and collaboration, and drive operational efficiency of all service and infrastructure operations.

How will you make an impact in this role?

As a Power BI Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and administering our enterprise Power BI environment, as well as supporting our global user base in leveraging the tools for their dynamic reporting needs. Responsibilities include:

• Power BI development and administration.

• Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence

• Requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, and documentation

• Troubleshooting and performance tuning of Power BI workspaces and environments

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Information System. Besides that, one needs to have considerable work experience in similar fields.

• 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack, preferably Power BI

• Adept in understanding business requirements and developing, publishing and scheduling data models and Power BI reports

• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.

• Understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.

• Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with governance on self-service platforms, preferably Power BI

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell to drive automation

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
