Description
As a Dedicated Sales Representative, you will be accountable for sales growth through a variety of disposable products within one of our largest regional grocery customers. Dedicated Sales Rep will travel the geography, engaging with the local grocery stores within the chain and sell non-food/disposable items that will be used in the store. These items include but are not limited to paper and plastic bags, to go food containers, janitorial supplies and other food service and PPE (gloves, hairnets) items.
You will work in a fast paced, field based, business customer facing environment where attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, initiative and drive are extremely important to achieving company sales goals. This role could be a fantastic point of entry for someone looking to get into outside sales/territory sales; including recent graduates.
While candidates will spend most of their time in the geography visiting customers (day travel, 3-4 days a week), office planning days would be in your home. Based on customer locations, as well as access to Bunzl's regional office, ideal candidates would live in/near New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities:
Grow Sales within the assigned Strategic Account
Support the customer at both regional leadership and local/location management
Understand and meet targeted sales priorities
Plan sales activities and weekly travel within the region
Actively foster and cultivate key customer relationships and realize future growth potential
Active selling of preferred, strategic vendor initiatives and development of market share
Construction of strategic selling plans and sales pre-call plans
Contact End User customers to solicit orders, and establish new relationships
Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features
Attend required customer and company scheduled meetings, events and industry trade shows
Requirements:
High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Learn to effectively plan activities directed towards targeted sales opportunities
Learn Bunzl’s VIP selling process to effectively set appointments, identify customer product GAPs, present solutions, handle objections and deliver ion KPIs both internally and at the customer level.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and AS400
Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up
Ability to work effectively in situations that involve change and/or competing demands
Proficient handling of all confidential and time-sensitive material
Ability to stay within budget on expenditures
This position requires 25-50% travel throughout assigned territory.
