The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most creative department in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective.

Within GABM sits the Global Media & Analytics team who is responsible for building inspiring paid social brand creative and assets to drive consideration for target audiences, effective placement through strategic media planning and buying and leveraging cultural marketing and brand platforms to support enterprise priorities.

The Manager, Paid Social Media will support the strategic development and execution of paid social media for the brand across a variety of campaigns. We are looking for a dynamic, insights-driven marketer who is a social media subject matter expert. This role will focus on delivering paid social strategic thinking and creative execution focused on driving American Express brand consideration for our target audience segments utilizing the benefits of our products and services with a focus on our B2B audience.

The role will entail working in a flexible team structure across multiple initiatives with various business units and stakeholders. It will require close partnership with Media, Brand Content, Brand Planning team within GABM and across the organization, as well as our Agencies. Projects may vary to focus on B2C or B2B audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders and agency teams to evolve and shape Amex’s paid social media strategy and execute paid social creative across a variety of platforms and priorities with a focus on our B2B audience

  • Contribute to the development of our influencer approach and execution influencers across a variety of campaigns and GABM priorities

  • Support in the management of relationships with social media platforms and across American Express business units

  • Partner with key stakeholder on the measurement for social media campaigns

  • Support in the pilot of new opportunities in the social media space

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong social media and creative expertise with a proven track record of delivering social campaigns and marketing communications to B2B and/or B2C audiences

  • Strategic, creative and analytical thinker, who is solutions-oriented and a has strong project management skills in order to prioritize and manager multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong creative instincts and judgment – proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and agency partners and collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal and external partners

  • Customer-centric thinker

  • Collaborative mindset, curiosity, and resiliency, with a sense of humor and passion to deliver best in class marketing in fast paced work environment

  • Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to build and strengthen relationships across all levels of management

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
