Description
At Apple, we believe technology is most powerful when it empowers everyone. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about creating accessible experiences that enhance clarity, readability, and control for all users, regardless of ability. In this role, you’ll build and refine macOS accessibility features focused on vision and reading support, such as Accessibility Reader and Magnifier, as well as speech-driven features, such as Live Speech and Live Captions. If you’re eager to learn, innovate, and make meaningful contributions, you’ll thrive on our team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Experience with at least one of the following languages and related development tools: ObjectiveC, Swift, C++, or C
Ability to create, understand and maintain Object-Oriented software designs
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to learn quickly and grapple with complex, critical code
3+ years of relevant work experience
Upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented attitude
Aptitude for independently learning new technologies
Passion for quality and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Apple Accessibility APIs and/or Accessibility technologies
Familiarity with audio-related software development
Experience in developing safe and efficient multithreaded software systems
Excitement to build software that makes a tangible difference in people's lives
