Job Description

CAI is seeking an entryl-level Developer in Westerville, OH.

Description
- Works as part of an application development team and gains an understanding of the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming to satisfy business and functional requirements
- Responsibilities may vary by project area but should be centered around application development and deployment and raise the value of the overall team delivery
- Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Designs, analyzes, develops, tests, debugs and delivers software and/or new products
- Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of end to end software development which may include working in Agile frameworks
- Collaborates with fellow team members and keeps the team and other key stakeholders well informed of progress of application business features being developed

Skills
- Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques
- Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks
- Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
- Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in Java, JEE stack of technologies with solid understanding of the tools OR equivalent experience with the Taleo Recruiting platform
- Minimum 2 years of experience in GIT, Stash, JIRA, Maven or Griddle, and related products preferred
- 2+ years of experience/understanding use case modeling; skillful with scenario-based analysis and use case-driven design techniques
- Knowledge of XML (e.g., DTDs, XSDs, XSLT etc) , Messaging systems (e.g., Oracle JMS, QPID, ActiveMQ etc) and SQL preferred
- Experience with Mule, UNIX, or LINUX operating systems preferred
- Experience with Agile methodology a plus
- Experience with code migration from lower level environments to production
- Ability to create detailed functional and technical design documents.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team to achieve project goals
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop technical requirements.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle
- Experience working successfully with the business users and technology vendors
- Experience working within a global organization.
- College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of the Recruiting & Onboarding function a plus
