Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA.Perform Validation of wireless technologies such as 4G, 5G on the latest hardware from early prototype to production units in the field. Create test plans for new cellular modem features for the latest iPhones. Evaluate internal automation tools for log analysis and post processing of field logs. Bring up weekly sanity tests on the latest iPhones for testing cellular modem features in field in presence of live network for various US carriers. Evaluate system performance metrics, key performance indicators of cellular technologies, post processing of the logs from the field. Perform deep-dive log analysis from the field collected logs and identifying the root cause of the issue. Collaborate with Wireless HW/SW teams to fix the issues impacting cellular performance and evaluate out the fixes in the field. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,446 - $213,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Telecommunication or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation
Experience and/or education must include:
Experience with various cellular technologies such as 5G NR/LTE/WCDMA/3G.
End to end testing of cellular technologies including test plan preparation, log analysis & debugging issues.
Design and develop test scenarios, procedures, test setup and plans.
Testing the device against various network Infrastructures and collecting key performance metrics along with verifying that the device is functionally stable
Furnish periodic reports with the test validation results.
Provide comprehensive analysis from the logs collected regarding the issues seen from testing using various tools.
Identify the issue from the protocol layer of the device like PHY/MAC/RLC/PDCP or from higher application layer and root cause it.
Suggest improvements based on the issue found and provide logs and analysis to cross functional teams to get the bugs resolved in timely manner.
Study design reviews and participate in technical meetings to gather insights on how these can be applied to forthcoming validation activities.
