We are seeking a finite element analyst to conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis of sensing technology. Come join us!
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Simulation Engineer to push the boundaries of virtual product development by combining traditional finite element analysis with modern automation and data-driven methods. In this role, you will go beyond standard analysis by building scalable workflows, uncovering hidden sensitivities to ensure robust solutions across mechanical and thermal challenges. You will work with advanced FEA and CFD tools to analyze structural, dynamic, and thermal performance, while also developing automated processes that improve efficiency and consistency. This position offers the opportunity to shape design decisions early, drive innovation in simulation practices, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact engineering solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and heat transfer
Hands-on experience in FEA
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
Advanced experience in FEA and CFD, preferably in high-volume consumer electronic products
Direct experience with sensor technologies is a plus
Proficiency in Abaqus, ANSYS (Mechanical/Icepak), COMSOL, or similar simulation tools
Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for scripting and automation
Experience with data and statistical analysis methods (Monte Carlo, DOE, statistical process control) is a plus
Additional exposure to electromagnetics and electrostatics, acoustics, fatigue, fracture mechanics, or biomechanics
Applied knowledge of material testing and modeling for nonlinear materials (e.g., adhesives, elastomers, polymers)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and management, while contributing positively to the engineering community
