Job Description
Role Number: 200632924-3337
Summary
Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the development of the next generation of cloud services infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing and implementing key components of the iCloud platform, integrating novel fundamental capabilities deeply into the core of Apple’s operating systems. Your work will enable the creation of entirely new applications and the scaling of existing ones, including iCloud Drive, Photos, Notes, FaceTime, and many more. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact. You will collaborate with highly skilled teams dedicated to engineering excellence and deliver features that uphold strong privacy guarantees for end users.
Description
Our team is responsible for building the on-device software that makes iCloud work. This role is focused on Private Cloud Compute, Apple’s platform for running workloads that gives users enforceable guarantees about the privacy and security of their data. This system underlies many Apple Intelligence features. We need an engineer to design and build the frameworks and daemons that support Private Cloud Compute; to work closely with other engineering teams around the company who are adopting this technology, and with our colleagues who build dependencies on the client and the server.
A strong candidate will have engineering experience and interest on the Apple platforms, so that they are prepared to approach problems such as protocol design, interprocess communication, device resource management, API design, reliability and performance. And since so much of the user experience we build depends on services, we are also looking for engineers who are passionate about building complex distributed systems.
