We're seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Manager to own the buildout of an Intelligence Platform for iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts—someone who will be an influential force in ensuring millions of iCloud customers have a great experience by enabling various Intelligence Use-cases for users' mailboxes and calendars.

You will manage a team of engineers and be responsible for the platform that can on-board new use-cases, help with the entire ML lifecycle and integration into Mail, Calendar and Contacts systems,. You will also be collaborating with various teams like ASE Platform, SWE, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless experiences for iCloud customers.

Description

As the Engineering Manager for iCloud Intelligence Platform, you will lead a critical team responsible for enabling various Intelligence usecases for millions of iCloud users across Mail, Calendar, and Contacts.

This role combines deep technical expertise in machine learning and building platform frameworks and tools with strong leadership skills to drive innovation in customer delight. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on user experience while working with cutting-edge technology at one of the world's most innovative companies

Minimum Qualifications

    • Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers specializing in machine learning systems
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for Intelligence Platform to enable and onboard use-cases across iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts

  • Help understand these new use-cases and build Platform support to onboard them

  • Partner with ASE Platform, SWE and other key stakeholders to deliver platform solutions

  • Lead response to customer issues while maintaining strategic long-term focus

Preferred Qualifications

    • Demonstrated expertise in entire machine learning life cycle
  • Proven expertise in end-to-end machine learning lifecycle including data collection, processing, training, model building, inference, and feedback loops

  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with various key stakeholders, present to executives, and lead partner teams toward common goals

  • Strong understanding of protocols like IMAP, SMTP, CalDAV, and CardDAV

  • Experience working with systems serving millions of users

  • Understanding of privacy-preserving machine learning techniques and data handling best practices
