The Retail Engineering - Mobile team is looking for an experienced Release Engineer. You will combine your technical experience with project management skills as you plan, coordinate, and execute regular scheduled releases along with Apple special events. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key to keeping our releases flowing, on time, and without incident.
You will also take ownership of release cycles as they relate to operations and our CI/CD pipelines. Using your knowledge of all things Git, you will make sure branches are cut on time and auto-merging happens flawlessly.
Description
Apple is looking for a highly motivated Release Engineer. The Retail Engineering - Mobile team is responsible for delivering iOS apps and back end services that globally set the standard for customer experience and showcase Apple's revolutionary hardware and iOS technologies in e-commerce. You’ll be joining a team of world-class engineers and interacting on a daily basis with teams that span across Apple, including iOS software and hardware engineering, Apple Online Store, and Apple Retail.
Minimum Qualifications
This is an engineering role that requires project management skills.
Thorough understanding of branching, configuration management, testing, build, and release processes for complex software at a large scale.
Ability to organize and execute complex release and event planning.
Strong communication and presentation skills.

GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Python, Slack, Quip
Java, Bash, Python
GitOps, Kubernetes, AWS/EKS
Have personally orchestrated the delivery of significant client/server software products under demanding timelines
