This position is responsible for supervising all Security Services activities and personnel within an assigned geographic area. The incumbent will provide support for business operations through effective management of security operations. The position is also expected to work diligently with local management, local law enforcement and service establishments to develop and implement proactive procedures and programs. Assist with Executive Protection duties as required. Develop, communicate and enforce security policies and procedures for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.

Core Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership for a team of security professionals located throughout the assigned geographic area including review of security operations, policies and procedures.

  • Manage and maintain effective working relationships at the highest level with various business partners and local law enforcement agencies throughout area of responsibility.

  • Develop process improvements and implement where applicable. Plan and monitor expenditure within a defined budget.

Physical Security:

  • Provide advice and guidance on security and security-related matters to senior business leaders.

  • Ensure safety and security of all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in a defined geography.

  • Maximize the use of limited resources through continuous review of all security functions, including physical security measures, equipment, and personnel. Identify areas of vulnerability and develop/implement proactive plans and programs to address these areas and support the changing needs of the business.

  • Supervise and coordinate with contract security to ensure security officers are managed effectively, including facility access, monitoring alarm systems and surveillance equipment, etc.

  • Manage and/or participate in the local Crisis Response Team.

  • Conduct security audits and physical site reviews (PSRs) as well as risk assessments for potentially new sites/facilities. Prepare PSR reports and relevant documentation.

Executive Protection :

  • Effectively collaborate with the Executive Protection team and assist with Event Planning activities as needed.

Autonomy/Problem Solving & Decision Making:

  • The incumbent requires the ability to determine and establish appropriate levels of security coverage, foresee issues and plan responses for any security related events that may occur.

  • Possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage emergency situations.

  • Must be able to work independently while keeping the Vice President Security Services apprised of situations as they may occur.

Qualifications:

  • A thorough and advanced understanding of physical security and executive protection.

  • The successful candidate must maintain a regular physical presence at our company’s Global Headquarters in New York City (expectation is five days per week or as required by operational responsibilities) and maintain 24/7/365 on-call availability to respond to emergent security incidents or operational needs.

  • Ability to travel 20% or more both domestically and internationally.

  • Minimum of 10 years of law enforcement and 3 years minimum in a managerial role. Corporate Security experience is preferred.

  • Must have strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills to effectively direct security activities in a culturally diverse work force and handle emergencies, crises, and stressful situations calmly, quickly, and professionally.

  • Ability to self-motivate while leading and inspiring others to overcome challenges and achieve shared goals, fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts effectively, and setting strong example within a team environment.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
