How will you make an impact in this role?
This role will help shape the future of how American Express cards are experienced across both physical and digital environments. The individual will support the development of Contactless Form Factors (Physical Contactless Cards & Digital Wallets) while contributing to the physical card and digital wallet strategy that will influence the direction of all American Express cards globally.
By working at the intersection of product innovation, technology, and payments infrastructure, this role will play a key part in modernizing how customers interact with their cards while ensuring alignment with evolving enterprise, industry, and regulatory requirements.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on the core payment experiences used by millions of American Express customers globally, while helping shape the next generation of physical and digital card capabilities. The role combines strategy, innovation, and execution, giving the candidate exposure to some of the most critical components of the Amex payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Support the evolution of Contactless Form Factors (Physical Contactless Cards and Digital Wallets), helping design and deploy capabilities driven by enterprise strategy, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the development of the American Express physical card strategy, helping define the future of physical card features and experiences across the global portfolio.
Assist in scoping, prioritizing, backlog management and developing new product capabilities, including feature enhancements that improve customer experience and strengthen the value proposition of Amex cards.
Partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Risk, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, document solutions, identify gaps and support delivery of product features using agile development practices.
Collaborate with analytics teams to identify key performance indicators, prioritize analytics needs, and leverage data to drive product decisions and enhance customer experience
Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory developments to inform product strategy and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3 years in an analytical or product-related role, ideally supporting enterprise product growth within an Agile environment.
Product Strategy: Ability to support product strategy, develop roadmaps, and prioritize features based on customer needs and business goals.
Market & Data Analysis: Skilled in market research, data analysis, and structured problem-solving to generate insights, inform decisions and improve user experiences.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions, influence outcomes, and align stakeholders.
Enterprise Mindset: Ability to balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues, and shareholders while connecting work to enterprise priorities and capabilities.
Adaptability & Organization: Highly organized, with the ability to reprioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Team Player: Collaborative, supportive, and proactive, with a strong can-do attitude.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
