The Haptics team builds the ground-breaking Haptic Engine, a critical component of the iPhone, Watch and Pencil Pro customer experience.
In this critical, highly visible role, you will lead projects involving the design, integration, and launch of haptic solutions. You will use your engineering background to manage program execution from concept phase to mass production. You will lead multi-functional teams and define program plans and schedules. You will bring teams together, align them on goals, and resolve conflicts to provide Apple customers with the best user-experience in the industry. Engineering excellence is expected. Description
You will serve as a multi-functional team leader. You will be expected to:
Define and communicate program plans, schedule, and status
Ensure engineering excellence and help drive logical, balanced, and bold decisions
Prepare and present executive communications
Manage preparation and execution of engineering development builds
Identify and resolve conflicts, interdependencies, and program issues
Work with the multi-functional teams to mitigate program risks
React to unexpected changes in the program due to outside influences
Improve the system: Look for patterns, offer best practices, and implement change
Manage engineering and development budgets leading to mass production
Work multi-functionally to identify critical performance parameters
Travel up to 15%
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant proven experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Self motivated and proactive
Great leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
Ability to excel within rapid development cycles
Calm in the face of uncertainty
Critical thinking to identify risks and find creative solutions
The candidate must be able to fit in well with a team and understand capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative environment
Limited international travel
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
