In 2013, Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI) launched their Autism 2Work Program with a strategic mission of helping the underemployment of many effedted with ASD (Autism Spectrum) that are looking for opportunities where they can do more, learn more and develop a career in Information Technology.

 

* We are preparing for a paid 2-3 week Job Readiness Training Session - That leads to job selection for qualified candidates - Seeking 8 participants in Harrisburg/York region.

 

Projected Dates: To Be Determined

 

We will begin by scheduling a 4hr Meet & Greet Session for an Introduction and Overview of our Program, what to expect, exercises with the tools we would be using in and define expectations for consideration of participation.

 

 

Details about the projected position:

Quality Assurance Support Analyst - The role is 'apprentice' based for Quality Assurance (software testing), meaning prior experience is not mandatory as CAI will provide the baseline knowledge to cultivate the onsite applied learning. However, an individual that may have or had prior employment history and a level of education past the Secondary Level would be most likely be more successful in this role. A BA or BS is preferred but also successful completion of college accredited courses is a benefit. Minimum requirement is a HS Diploma.

 

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Support Analyst (further training will be provided)

  • Responsible for understanding and executing test cases for established maintaining the current regression test bed.
  • Work with the manual testing teams to coordinate the updates required to the current regression bed.
  • Assist in defining the automation backlog in regards to functional regression.
  • Responsible for continuous regression testing throughout the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle.)
  • Responsible for environmental smoke testing.

Requirements of the Quality Assurance Support Analyst

  • HS Diploma. Preferred: BA or BS or successful completion of college accredited courses is a benefit
  • Diagnosed with ASD
  • Prior work experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently & in a team environment on assigned tasks
  • Ability to make decisions independently, as it relates to assigned tasks
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Outlook (email), Excel, Snipping / Screenshot tools, etc.
  • Ability to build subject matter expertise in the financial industry, as well as quality assurance methodologies & principles
  • Motivation for work and continued learning
  • Able to participate in 4 hour Meeting Session for Workforce Training consideration
