Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Provide digital forensic analysis on Apple proprietary operating systems and Apple-designed hardware, including computers, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices in alignment with industry-standard digital forensics best practices. Provide digital forensic assessments that are inclusive of evidence collection, preservation, data acquisition, analysis, documentation, and reporting to provide solutions and investigative leads to Apple Global Security and individual business units. Manage technical aspects of Apple’s Insider Threat program. Research, design, develop, and implement network security alert algorithms in conjunction with Apple’s Information Security team based on newly implemented systems, network activity trends, and data analysis. Assist in Apple software development initiatives in support of sensitive, internal artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) programs. Test and assess the business use and feasibility of beta and subscription-based software applications for Apple’s Global Security before full production deployment within the Global Security team. Maintain internal Apple databases. Collect, evaluate, and review data from a wide array of internal and external sources including internal and external servers, internal databases, Apple operating systems, and threat-intelligence databases. Analyze datasets to uncover indicators, patterns, and trends to identify the potential person(s) of interest and risk profiles for cybercrime investigations to protect Apple’s internal business interests, public safety, and reputational risk exposure. Write clear and concise reports and present findings orally to a range of Global Security and Apple business teams. Disseminate findings where applicable to Apple Global Security and leverage knowledge and industry-standard software technology to advance investigations and provide business units with detailed analytical findings related to corporate espionage and insider threat investigations. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $188,777 - $248,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s or foreign equivalent in Digital Forensics, Intelligence Analysis, Criminal Justice, Crime Analysis, International Crime and Justice, or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • Must have 2 years of experience with the following:

  • Testifying in grand jury or trial cases in support of investigative analysis and acting as liaison with law enforcement in active investigations.

  • Designing and implementing network security monitoring and alerting algorithms in order to uncover potential cases of crime, trade secret theft, or intellectual property theft.

  • Conducting employee interviews in order to uncover additional information, assess known investigative facts, and uncover potential instances of wrongdoing.

  • Performing device imaging and forensic analysis on mobile devices, tablets, and laptops, collected as part of an investigation.

  • Must have 5 years of experience with the following:

  • Conducting due-diligence reports on companies and individuals that could be a risk to the company or are being actively investigated in connection to a potential crime, trade secret theft, or intellectual property theft.

  • Collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data from a wide array of tools and sources, including Open Source, Social Media, and Deep and Dark Web.

  • Investigating and deanonymizing persons of interest in an active investigation using tools, including Open Source, Social Media and Deep and Dark Web.
