Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Perform radio frequency (RF) System evaluation. Design and development of Wireless technologies for Apple’s products. Drive the Regulatory Wireless system design and development for Apple’s wireless products. Certification testing of products in conformance to industry and government standards such as 3GPP or FCC, CE, IC. Deep understanding of the physical layer design of one or more radio systems such as WLAN, BT, Cellular. Parametric evaluation of radio frequency products such as cellular phones, tablets and headphones. Perform root cause analysis, debug of test failures, and sub-optimal test results of RF transceivers. Design of test procedures and implementation of test plans on WLAN, Bluetooth, and cellular radios. Perform regulatory and 3GPP conformance tests on device and debugging various RF issues. Review schematic and layout of the design to identify issues and fixes. Spearhead management level communication for project status, risks and opportunities. International travel required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,006 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
Theory and working of wireless technologies.
RF transceiver system performance evaluation, modify and analyze RF circuit schematics and layouts
RF test parameters related to wireless radio systems
Root cause analysis of test failures of RF transceivers
Programming skills in one or more programming language: Python, C, or Matlab
Theory and operation of radio frequency (RF) test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, and wireless communication testers
RF and Microwave circuits including transmission lines, power dividers, directional couplers, switches, and filters
RF Power Amplifier Performance Metrics such as Gain, Power, Compression points, Intermodulation, Harmonics
