Job Description

Purpose:

The Manager, Internal Audit Analytics & Automation sits within the Internal Audit department reporting to the Director, IT Audit, Analytics & Automation. The manager will work with the Audit Analytics team to support all financial, compliance and business technology audits and projects. You will manage a team of analysts and be responsible for oversight of their deliverables and be a coach and player. You will work with the Director to define strategy and tactics to develop and deploy novel analytic solutions to enhance the work of the Internal Audit team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching to direct reports and provide oversight of staff deliverables as appropriate

  • Actively manage team behaviors, mediate team disputes, and facilitate establishment of healthy and high performing team

  • Work with audit Directors and stakeholders to support audits or ad hoc requests

  • Provide analytics and support using advanced analytics and real-world data to our audit team

  • Identify and develop process improvement initiatives and review recommendations with management

  • In partnership with audit Directors, provide strategy and tactics to deploy novel analytic solutions

  • Research and identify new data sources to better inform audit work. Ensure team become subject matter experts in all data used in the analytics work by developing training/education material

  • Responsible for accurate tracking of metrics as it relates to analyst work (e.g. financial value, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and related experience. )4+ years of experience with enabling novel analytics capabilities across business areas with 1+ years of experience leading a team preferred.

  • Able to translate strategy into operations and manage multiple changing priorities

  • Considered a Subject Matter Expert with advanced mastery of coding languages like SQL/Python/R and visualization tools like Tableau/PowerBI

  • Experience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques preferred

  • Strong story telling skills; ability to distill complex information synthesized into concise and impactful messages and communications.

  • Advanced knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques

  • Proven leadership with ability to inspire others and build strong relationships

  • Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
