Café Blends is a partnership between a local car dealership and Nobis Works, a non-profit that provides job training and employment for people with disabilities. Focusing specifically on hiring individuals on the autism spectrum, Café Blends’ purpose is to inspire job creation and create awareness of the prevalence of autism and unique abilities of people with autism.

Position Summary:
The Coffee Shop Server is responsible for maintaining an efficient coffee shop operation by greeting arriving customers; establish rapport with customers and car dealership personnel. Ability to complete customer orders in a friendly and accurate manner.
Hours of Operation: M-F 7-6 and Sat 7-5 (Shifts may vary)
Morning shift 6:50 AM - 1:00 PM
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Meets arriving customers as they approach with a cordial greeting.
- Runs cash register.
- Solicits rapport in order to accommodate special requests.
- Maintains a clean, attractive, and safe coffee shop operation by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning and side work duties.
- Exhibits a neat appearance and maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Receives payment and processes the transaction on a computerized cash register, counting change back to the guest out loud for protection of the guest and dealership.
- Ability to make coffee, smoothies, cookies and other minimal food prep duties.
- Ability to count cash at end of shift and close down the operation
- Ability to set up cash register and set up operations for the day.
- Maintains safety/hygiene standards as required for coffee shop operations
Qualifications:
- A general knowledge of basic customer service skills.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED or other related experience.
Prior Experience Desirable:
- Previous customer service experience.
