The Original Content Services team delivers world-class video content for audiences globally. We seek a dynamic Content Operations Specialist to optimize and transform our workflows. This hands-on, strategic role requires deep operational understanding and a passion for enhancing the global customer experience, focusing on localization workflows. You will analyze processes, challenge norms, and pioneer new solutions leveraging technologies like Machine Learning (ML). Collaborate extensively with globalization, media operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation.

Description

Drive the transformation and optimization of global content operational workflows, with significant focus on complex localization pipelines. Identify inefficiencies, document processes, and develop strategic solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality. This includes exploring and proposing the application of new technologies, such as ML, and evaluating potential shifts in operational models (e.g., insourcing vs. vendor).

Explore, evaluate, and potentially integrate emerging technologies and other innovative tools to augment traditional content operations and workflows.
Partner with globalization, media operations specialists, engineering, project management, and external vendor teams to develop and implement operational solutions.
Troubleshoot complex operational issues using analytical skills and propose data-driven strategies for improvement.
Support strategic planning and execution of content operations projects, adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
Document and visualize complex workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in media localization with a strong focus on operational workflows.

  • Proven ability to analyze existing operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose innovative workflow solutions.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, project management, operations) to implement solutions.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience optimizing complex content workflows, particularly those involving localization and media accessibility processes.

  • Experience working for a media localization or content services vendor, or as a freelancer supporting multiple clients.

  • Demonstrated passion for and proactive engagement with emerging technologies, and their potential applications in media operations.

  • Experience exploring, evaluating, or applying ML tools or concepts to optimize media workflows.

  • Understanding of post-production audio workflows

  • Familiarity with asset management systems or workflow automation tools.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.

  • Additional language skills; proficiency in Spanish and/or Japanese desired

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,100 and $222,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
