Description
We’re seeking a hands-on leader for the Core Services Quality Engineering organization. You bring a deep understanding of backend systems, a builder’s mindset for automation and tooling, and a strong background in software development and quality. You have a track record of developing people, processes, and teams, and you thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years leading QA/Quality Engineering teams in software
B.S. Computer Science or similar field, M.S. preferred
Deep knowledge of QA automation architecture, methodologies, processes, and tools
High value for teamwork and cross-functional alignment; comfortable influencing without authority
Proven stakeholder management
Ability to drive clarity amid ambiguity and make sound tradeoffs
Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to convey complex concepts concisely and tailor messages to different audiences
Experience leading distributed teams across cultures, geographies, and time zones
Preferred Qualifications
Experience planning and leading end-to-end software release cycles
Proven leadership of major, cross-functional software initiatives
Ability to quickly grasp new technical domains and system architectures
Track record of providing succinct, accurate executive summaries of complex project status
Strong technical acumen across backend/services, automation, and CI/CD
Experience driving measurable quality outcomes in a quality-focused organization
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
