You’ll work at the intersection of hardware and software, solving complex challenges in a highly collaborative and uniquely Apple environment.

Description

In this highly visible and cross-functional role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with internal hardware design teams and the broader software organization to enable co-development and integration.

  • Defining and evolving an IP-XACT-compatible register description format.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and intelligent HW/SW interface tools and infrastructure.

  • Automating data exchange pipelines to enhance collaboration across Apple

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in C++ and Python

  • Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, version control, CI integration)

  • Experience with hardware development fundamentals and chip design concepts

  • Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IP-XACT, SystemRDL, or other hardware register description standards

  • Comfortable developing in macOS and Linux environments

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across hardware and software teams

  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical and architectural concepts

  • Understanding of RTL development and design verification methodologies
